Pluto TV on Amazon Fire TV Devices

Installing Pluto TV on Fire TV

Method 1: Voice Search (Easiest)

1. Press and hold the voice button on your Fire TV remote
2. Say "Pluto TV"
3. Select the Pluto TV app from search results

You'll see a confirmation message in your browser. Return to your Fire TV - the app should automatically activate within a few seconds.

Fire TV Requires Amazon Account

Optimizing Pluto TV Performance on Fire TV

Clear App Cache Regularly

Over time, Pluto TV accumulates cached data that can slow performance. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Pluto TV > Clear Cache. Do this monthly or whenever the app becomes sluggish. Unlike clearing data, clearing cache won't log you out or remove your settings.

Adjust Streaming Quality

If you experience constant buffering, especially on slower internet connections, reduce the streaming quality within Pluto TV settings. This lowers bandwidth requirements and provides smoother playback. Most content looks acceptable even at lower quality settings, and you can always increase quality when your connection improves.

Fire TV vs. Fire Stick Differences

While Pluto TV works on all Amazon devices, performance varies. Fire TV Stick Lite and basic Fire TV Stick (3rd gen) handle HD streaming well but may buffer on very weak WiFi.
